utorrent 2.2.1 the parameter is incorrect

I've had this happen to a Linux distribution. This should be optional, as it can generate a lot of extra disk activity, but it allows users to add an extra layer of protection, rather than them having to discover the issue while trying to use whatever it is they've downloaded. And so, I'd like to suggest a feature that some other torrent programs have, which is the ability to auto-verify all local data when the torrent is completed (prior to it being marked as complete, just in case). However, I believe there's always going to be the remote possibility of bad blocks, for whatever reason. Of course if I can identify the problem I'll do my best to post a suitable bug report so that the real issue can be fixed.

Now, I haven't the faintest clue why this is happening, as many torrents are just fine, while others complete with as much as 5% of the blocks failing verification. Hope you can help, I really like utorrent but if I can´t download anything i just have to stick with bitcomet for the time being.I realise that the bit torrent protocol is supposed to render this unnecessary, however, I still infrequently find torrents that have finished downloading with some corrupt blocks. I´m using utorrnt 1.3, but experienced the same problems with 1.2.2 I´m on a Win98 pentium 133Mhz 80Mb ram, connection: 1024Kb/256Kb Maximum number of connected peers per torrent= 102 The settings are all default for both programs except: While on utorrent it takes as much as those 10 minutes to connect to 4 seeds and 12 peers, after that it displays the error. The above torrent takes about 2/3 minutes to connect to 14 seeds and 55 peers on bitcomet 0.60, and it starts downloading right away 50/60Kb average. The torrent is 8.6Gb with multiple files, i only download 2.6Gb at a time.Īnother issue I´ve encontered is the number of connections. I´ve tried with a number of torrents with the same results. I´ve tried download the same torrent using bitcomet 0.60 and it downloads fine no errors. I downloaded a torrent, and it connects fine but after 10 minutes it displys 'Error: parameter is incorrect' or 'Error: invalid data'.

I have been trying utorrent from a few days, and it´s been acting a bit stange.
